Get lost in fun at Spearfish corn maze

Do you want to be scared this Halloween? Do you need something to take up some of your time while having fun? Do you like puzzles? Are you dying to get out of the dorms? If you answered yes to even one of these questions then the Spearfish Corn Maze located three miles outside of Spearfish is the place for you to visit.

If you want to be scared than the maze at night is for you. There is very little light offered and being in the middle of a corn field offers an eerie atmosphere for those looking for an intense Halloween scare. Your imagination will do most of the scaring for you, but don’t worry if you need help there is friendly staff members that will come lead you out.

Black Hills State University Corporate communication and marketing major Brenna Williamson recently visited the maze at night with a group of friends.

“We had so much fun scaring each other and wandering around in the dark,” said Williamson. “Getting lost was the best parta��It was amazing.”

If you need something entertaining to do or love puzzles than the six foot tall stalks of corn and the many different paths to confuse you could get you lost in the corn stalks for hours. When you do finally find your way out, there is a pumpkin patch as well as obstacles and a hay jumping area to have fun in.

Spearfish Valley Produce opened the Spearfish Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch on Sept. 20 and will be offering entertainment for all ages until the end of October. Prices range from $0-$10 for different ages and times.
