Giant pumpkins on display during the biggest pumpkin contest weigh in at the Festival Sept.

Pumpkin Festival in downtown Rapid City was held Saturday Sept. 30, 2017. Children’s activities and booths drew people from all over the area.

Pumpkin Chuckin’ at Memorial Park in Rapid City 10a.m. Sept. 30, 2017. Several South Dakota School of Mines student teams, as well as, Douglas High School and Central High School. The students built Trebuchets and Catapults to hurl pumpkins into the air and see which teams would go the farthest.
