New club piques student interest

Black Hills State University students presented the first meeting of Billiards Club in Club Buzz on Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. with a group of 20 students.

Billiards Club is a new organization at BHSU. The club is held every Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the pool tables in Club Buzz. The club aims to help students learn and play pool with fellow classmates while having fun. The club is run by Ty Hill, a student at BHSU.

Club director Ty Hill said that the meeting had a great turn out. The members of the club took turns playing games of billiards with each other on the three pool tables in Club Buzz. Other members played ping pong and table football while waiting to play a game of pool.

The club talked about future plans at the end of the meeting. The organization hosted their first fundraiser of the year on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m at Lyle Hare Stadium.
