BHSU Hosts Colorado Mesa University

Coming off a season opening loss to the School of Mines and Tech Hardrockers last Saturday, the Yellowjackets look to get back on track in their home opener for the 2020 season.

Starting off with a loss on the road to a rival can be a tough beginning. However, as athletics go, this team needs to learn from their mistakes and keep moving forward.

CMU is coming off a close 10-7 overtime win last weekend at home over Chadron State.

For the Yellowjackets to get a win this week the goal must be to stop the run game of CMU. The Mavericks were led by Sophomore RB Jesse Rodriquez. The RB gained 180 yards on the ground on 22 attempts, with a TD added.

This game will be a battle of who can gain more yards on the ground as both teams struggled through the air last week.

BHSU will look to follow the lead of RB Nolan Susel who is coming off an impressive 2019 season and a solid week 1 game. Susel gained 80 yards on the ground and added a TD during the contest.

The game will be broadcast over radio on Eagle Country 95.5/96.3 on October 17th with a start time of Noon.
