BHSU CAB holds casino night

The Black Hills State University’s Campus Activities Board held a casino night Feb. 24th from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the on campus student union to bring students together.

The BHSU CAB organized this event so students could participate in various card and casino games in hopes of winning one of several possible raffle prizes. The possible raffle prizes, in total, were valued at over $1,000.

Students had the choice to play blackjack, Texas hold ‘em, roulette, and other casino games. Players used fake money, but students were still eager to collect the fake cash. Every $1,000 dollars won equated to one raffle ticket. The big ticket prize was an airfryer, a mini projector, and various yellowjacket apparel.

The Campus Activity Board enlisted the help of the Black Hills State Student Senate, several BHSU staff members, as well as the members for their own organization.

The casino night has been one of the most attended student organized programs of the year. The BHSU CAB decided to host another casino night after the success of the fall semester casino night, which saw over 200 students in attendance.
