SD CEO Women’s Business Center to Hold Networking Luncheon

The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) Women’s Business Center is holding Women in Networking (WIN) lunch Oct. 13 from noon to 1 p.m. that will help bring women together to widen their networks and make new friends.

Networking can make finding a career easier. According to the Borough of Manhattan Community College website, 60 to 90 percent of jobs are found through networking.

In her video about WIN, SD CEO secretary Megan Lipp said “WIN supports SD CEO’s mission of helping women start or approve their businesses and provides a perfect opportunity to practice and perfect [their] networking skills.”

The event will be held in the Spearfish Holiday Inn Swarm room and anyone is welcome to join. The SD CEO serves more than 1,400 clients and focuses mostly on women, Native Americans, the socially and economically disadvantaged, youth entrepreneurs, and women veterans, although they are interested in helping anyone who is interested in business. The center’s main goals are to give training, support and counseling for entrepreneurs to cultivate economic development in South Dakota, according to SD CEO’s website.

Registration for the meeting is $15 and includes the cost of lunch Chris Davis of the Northern Hills Training Center will be the guest speaker. Door prizes will be given out.
