Student organization provides communal place to worship

The River, a religious student organization, is putting on worship services at Grace Fellowship at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday nights. The worship services are intended for young adults of all denominations and church backgrounds. The services include worship music and a lesson given by JC Donner, and usually go until 8-8:30 p.m.

This is a time and place to get away from what is going on in your life and focus on discovering and exploring deeply into the scripture. The River is also a place to learn about topics that are being dealt with in the lives of young adults. According to TheRiverSpearfish.com, “At The River, you will experience: passionate worship, relevant teaching, true community.”

Currently, the series that is being talked about at The River is called the God Questions. This series is about exploring questions that many people have wondered at some point like, does God exist, is the Bible true, and do all paths lead to Heaven?

The next time the River will be held is at Grace Fellowship at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24.
